Supervision Program

Why This Program Was Created

Rooted to Lead with Purpose was born from both personal experience and a deep need in the field.

When I was working toward licensure, I didn’t receive the kind of supervision I needed—and when I became a supervisor myself, I didn’t feel fully equipped. That experience stayed with me. I knew there had to be a better way to prepare supervisors—especially those of us who hold cultural, communal, and lived experience at the center of our work.

The truth is, too many BIPOC professionals never get the opportunity to step into leadership—or even into the field—because the supports, mentorship, and culturally responsive spaces simply aren’t there. This program was created to change that.

Rooted to Lead with Purpose is an invitation into the profession and into leadership. It’s a space to grow, to be seen, and to develop as your full and authentic self. It’s about cultivating supervisors who are not just technically sound, but culturally grounded, trauma-informed, and let’s be honest—downright dope.

We can’t keep losing talent to burnout, isolation, or systems that don’t make space for us. We need a new way forward—one that nurtures supervisors who stay, who lead with care, and who reshape the way we think about mental health.
